Just exactly how does one say "tra-la-la" in Turkish??? (For the answer, see below) Each verse of this setting of a Swedish proverb contains different singing syllables from around the world, with subtle and surprising variations occurring each time. The song culminates with a three-part canon, through which the oboe line weaves the Quaker tune, "How Can I Keep From Singing?"
(Answer: "ten-nen-ni")

Scorch was designed by the folks who built Sibelius notation software, as a simple way to allow Sibelius scores to become webpages. Despite its slightly ominous name, Scorch is free, is not excessively large (approx. 1 MB), and does not do anything demonic like put you on a mailing list or affect other computer programs. - E.A.
